DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, January 24\, 2023  \n7 pm – 8 pm \nProvided by: Mill Creek Towne Garden Club \nLocation: \nMill Creek Parish United Methodist \n7101 Horizon Terrace \nDerwood\, MD 20855 \nGuest Speaker: Dan Neumann \n\nFree\n\n\nLight Refreshments\n\nGardens are not only beautiful\, but can provide excellent habitat for birds.  In this presentation\, Dan will show photographs of some birds that you may see in your garden and provide anecdotes of how they survive in the wild.  He will include some things that you can do to attract interesting birds. \nDan has been interested in nature all of his adult life.  About a decade ago\, he realized that if you want to see interesting animals in the wild\, you should look for birds as you always see birds when you are outdoors.  This started him on a slow immersion into birding. Because\, many birds look quite similar\, he started taking photographs which allowed him to look for identifying details later.  He took all of the photographs that he’ll show in this talk locally. \nRSVP: info@mctgardenclub.org \nPlease do NOT attend this event if you are or have been experiencing symptoms of illness. \nThis event is FREE. Donations of $10 or whatever you can afford are appreciated. Donations pay for landscaping\, repair and maintenance of the Mill Creek Towne Entrances\, and our garden-related programs at our community meetings. \nNOTE: If Montgomery County Schools are closed due to inclement weather\, the Garden Club meeting will be cancelled. \n
